‘Cascadia’ Season 2:
Cast Revealed For Highly Anticipated Return Of Hit Sci-Fi/Thriller Podcast
The critically acclaimed sci-fi thriller podcast Cascadia is making its long-awaited return, and fans won’t have to wait much longer. The second season, which jumps forward 25 years after the events of Season 1, is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious audio dramas in recent memory. With a star-studded cast, a high-stakes mystery, and the promise of long-awaited answers, the series is set to take its listeners deeper into the unknown—both literally and figuratively.
Season 2 kicks off when an emergency rescue boat carrying 200 refugees from the coast of Japan mysteriously disappears over the Cascadia Subduction Zone. What begins as a routine rescue mission quickly spirals into something far more sinister, as secrets from the past and present begin to collide in terrifying ways. While the show’s creators remain tight-lipped on major plot developments, they have confirmed that Season 2 will finally address the lingering mysteries of the first season—while introducing even more shocking revelations.
Leading the cast is Rebecca Durance Hine, who takes on the role of Lila Walters. A child in Season 1, Lila is now a world-class deep-sea diver, fiercely determined but still haunted by the past. Joining her is Dan Willmott (‘Mean Girls’, ‘Fargo’), stepping into the role of Holden Davis, now in his 60s. Previously played by Lee J. Poichuk, Holden has since become the head of Hydra-Corp, a deep-sea rescue and exploration company, and has raised Lila as his own.
Megan Allen (‘The Expanse’, ‘Schitt’s Creek’) joins the cast as Dani, an investigative journalist assigned to report on the missing refugee ship. The assignment quickly becomes complicated as she realizes she has a personal connection to the case… Josette Halpert (‘Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies’, ‘Ghostwriter’) plays Bri, Dani’s eager but anxious intern who soon finds herself in over her head. The ladies quickly spiral down the rabbit hole of what really happens at Cascadia.
Jesse Collin (‘The Recruit’) portrays Noah, a diver on Lila’s crew who harbors his own complicated relationship with the deep sea. Nathan Taylor (‘Morningside’) takes on the role of Octavio, a reliable but comedic team player whose lighthearted nature is tested as the stakes rise on the submarine. Emily Stranges (‘Bakugan: Battle Planet’) plays Harley, a quiet yet strong-willed German crew member, while the cast is rounded out by André Dae Kim (‘Startrek: Strange New Worlds’, ‘Vampire Academy’) in the role of Percy, the no-nonsense, serious member of the team.
Fans can also expect to hear familiar voices from Season 1, though the creators have yet to confirm any returning cast members.
